Adult colouring is a hobby that seems to be viral, and if you've seen any social media posts they are most likely using a Coco Wyo adult colouring in book - they are everywhere at the moment and for a good reason. The Coco Wyo books aren't terribly expensive, usually between £6.49 - £9.49 and many titles are included in the Amazon 'buy 4 get 5% off' sale, but if you've been looking for a cheaper alternative you may have come across Temu colouring books and wondered whether they are worth getting.

I wanted to compare the Temu colouring books to the Coco Wyo books, so I decided to test this out with Coco Wyo's Girl Moments, comparing it to one from Temu. This will be a side-by-side review where we look at the quality, price, designs and more.

Here’s the quick take on Temu colouring books:
- Dupes: These are dupes of the Coco Wyo books, meaning the artwork has been stolen from Coco Wyo
- Are they worth it? No. They’re cheap and flimsy, and many Temu sellers copy both the artwork and mockups directly from Coco Wyo - without permission.
There are many things that I recommend buying from Temu, including colouring supplies, but I would not recommend getting the Temu Colouring Books.
What Are Temu Colouring Books?
Temu colouring books often appear to be incredibly affordable versions of popular adult colouring books—especially ones by well-known brands like Coco Wyo. However, many of these books are unauthorised dupes featuring stolen artwork, copied without the original artist’s permission.
While the low price might be tempting, it's important to know what you’re buying. These books are usually printed on very thin paper, with lower production quality overall, and they don’t support the original creators whose work has been copied. If you're serious about adult colouring—or want to support independent artists—Temu colouring books may not be the right choice.
Why Supporting Original Artists Matters
When you buy from brands like Coco Wyo, you’re not just paying for a colouring book—you’re supporting the artists who spend hours creating original, high-quality designs. These artists rely on fair sales to continue making the beautiful, detailed illustrations we love.
Buying from marketplaces like Temu, where stolen artwork is often used without permission, might save you a few pounds upfront—but it ultimately harms the creative community. Artists don’t earn anything from these unauthorised copies, and it can even damage their businesses.
If you love adult colouring as a hobby, one of the best things you can do is support the original creators behind the work. It ensures we get more of the intricate, inspiring books that make colouring such a relaxing and joyful escape.
What Makes Coco Wyo Colouring Books Popular?
Coco Wyo colouring books have become a favourite among adult colouring fans, especially those who shop on Amazon. As one of the most recognisable premium colouring book brands, Coco Wyo has carved out a niche for its high-quality illustrations, wide variety of themes, and attention to detail.
Each book tends to focus on a specific theme with a cosy twist, so there’s something for just about everyone. The artwork is usually single-sided to help prevent bleed-through, and the level of detail ranges from beginner-friendly to highly intricate for more advanced colourists.
In terms of quality, Coco Wyo books stand out. The paper is noticeably thicker than cheaper alternatives, making it much better suited for alcohol markers, gel pens, and layering with coloured pencils. The binding is clean and sturdy, which helps the pages lay flatter while you colour.
Many Coco Wyo colouring books also feature professionally designed covers, giving them a polished look that feels like you're buying from a trusted, established adult colouring brand. These books regularly appear in Amazon’s bestsellers for a reason—they consistently deliver on both style and substance.
If you're serious about your colouring or want a relaxing hobby with beautiful results, Coco Wyo is one of the best adult colouring brands to invest in.
Temu Colouring Books First Impressions
The first thing I noticed when my Temu colouring book arrived was the front cover and I was actually confused because it didn't match up to the cover in the product listing.

The book arrived wrapped in plastic, but it wasn't protected in the parcel, which arrived in a mailing bag. That meant it was already wrinkled before I had even opened up the book.

In comparing it to the actual Coco Wyo book I found that it was a little bit smaller as well as a lot thinner.
Side-by-Side Comparison: Temu vs. Coco Wyo
The Coco Wyo book has 40 pages to colour in, whilst the Temu version of the same colouring book only had 24.

It is really hard to show the difference in paper quality in pictures, but I think this photo from the Temu colouring book shows it a little - you can really see the black lines from the picture on the next page, whereas they are less noticable with the actual Coco Wyo books.

The quality is just not there with the Temu dupe colouring book, as you can see in this photo. I often colour in my 'Sactch book' - yes, that's what the copied version says!

Whereas in the Coco Wyo book the spelling is correct and the lines are more crisp.

There's also this weird love letter in the middle of the Temu colouring book.

Here you can see a direct comparison between the two, with the Temu version being at the top. I've just popped my blog name over the images to prevent anyone from printing them out to colour.

Should You Buy Temu Colouring Books?
Apart from the obvious theft of artwork, the Temu colouring books are also shockingly bad quality compared to their legit counterparts.
Whilst they might be cheap, they don't actually offer good value for money because the paper is much thinner and you don't get as many colouring pages.
My Favourite Coco Wyo Adult Colouring Books
These are my favourite Coco Wyo books - they are often on sale for 'buy 4 get 5% off'
Conclusion: Temu vs. Coco Wyo – Is It Worth Paying More?
When it comes to adult colouring books, you really do get what you pay for. While Temu colouring books might seem like a budget-friendly option at first glance, the reality is they fall short in almost every way—from the flimsy paper to the stolen artwork and inconsistent printing.
Coco Wyo colouring books, on the other hand, are beautifully designed, printed on high-quality paper, and created by real artists who deserve to be supported.
For just a few pounds more, you get a better colouring experience, more pages, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re buying from a reputable brand.
If you’re serious about adult colouring—or even just want to treat yourself to a relaxing new hobby—Coco Wyo is well worth the investment.
